Yes, this whole thing is made of ice. Yes, this is where I live. Well, not the ice bar, but this is my town. Technically, it's my town. It takes about 30 minutes to drive to it. Anyway, this is a huge contrast from what I saw here in the summer. This is literally ON THE LAKE. The picture above is in the Ice Bar.
Generally speaking, I'm not a fan of winter, but the igloos and all the ice and snow sculptures were so impressive that I've started to warm up to this season. Anyway...
Here's a pic with me and Alexis:
And finally, one of the sculptures:
Life-like, isn't it? No? Why not? I think it is.
I'm not going to lie- it was incredibly cold, and I needed 3 layers of pants, plus a neck warmer, toque, and down jacket with a thermal undershirt, sweater, and hoody underneath. But it was worth it.
Sometimes my town surprises me. It'll be so dull and then suddenly, a festival, an event, a concert! Well, it was good timing for this because I was starting to lose my mind from lack of stimulation.
Well, there's always blogging. Or social networking sites like Facebook. Not really for me, though. Just wanted to put in my two cents. Do I even need to mention that Facebook is so annoying? But like a bad habit, we just can't kick it. Moving on.
Time for lunch.
