Things I've Missed

So many to count, too many to say.
Especially the one that I missed today
And it brought me aback
to the memory of him
When he had turned 80
And we were dancing and singing.
I'm not even there,
I'm so far away
So far from the moments
and people and playing.

Everything feels long ago
And I'm stuck looking back
But this is not the way to live.
Forward is the best direction.
Remember how they turned to stone.

"I'll be there with you."
Message received. Still processing.

Leo the Late Lion always does great things,
but it takes him much longer than most.
I don't want to be Leo any longer.
But it's important to accept who we are.
