What do you wish to change?

A friend of mine wrote a message to me and left it on my desk. In the message, it asked "What do you wish to change?" My first reaction was that I want to change so many things. But let's start with what I'm grateful for because that's where it's at for me right now. I'm grateful for my friend Matthew who e-mailed me recently. He and I used to jam it up on the drums and guitar. I'm grateful for friends who actually read this blog. Well, one person maybe. You know who you are. Ha ha! I'm grateful for my sweet classical guitar that I bought here in the land of the rising...mochi (I hope that's not offensive to anyone. There really is a lot of mochi here!) I am grateful for a job, which I have been at for two and some years now. This will be my third year and they've already asked me if I want to stay another. How about that, eh? Well, I've got mixed feelings about that, but I still want to go somewhere cool, so I should stick around so I can save up some. Which leads me to this little gem of a question: What do you want to do before you die?
Here are all of my answers in no not random order, some of them just made up. You can filter 'em out:
1. Eat a pizza while riding an elephant.
2. Break the world record for having the most music records (going to need a record player)
3. Join a marching band and play the snare like a pro.
4. Go sailing.
5. Overcome fear of the ocean.
6. Overcome fear of strange things that I can't see in dirty water.
7. Have a family.
8. Live in an apartment with a gym and a theater.
9. Be a translator.
10. Have a channel like TouchTheSkyFilms (or something like that)
11. Be myself.
12. Be able to socialize with anyone.
13. Help people.
14. Help people with their struggles.
15. Find the house in New Orleans that they call the Rising Sun.
16. Trace my roots.
17. Meet my relatives in Sweden.
18. Do a skype chat with a stranger.
19. Become a professional at making power points.
20. Turn a whole book into a song.
21. Live in a beautiful city.
22. Learn to love and love to learn.
23. Break down all the barriers that stop me from doing the things I want to do, so I can teach others how do break them down, too.

So yeah. That's it for now. Pretty vague. So what's new? I'm going to play guitar live. In front of an actual audience. Soon. Next month. At a museum in my town. With the principal from the high school. Cool, right? We have five songs. Time to practice. Practice tonight. Practice tomorrow. Practice on the weekend in the morning. We've got to make this happen, make it tight. We gotta' be tight, so we can rock the museum. Well, maybe not rock it. Maybe just sort of woo it. Something to that effect. I will (or maybe I won't) post a video or audio of it later. That will be after it happens. I'll give an update later. I'll just tell you this: one of the songs is about a painting on the wall. Oooh! How awesome!! You must be so curious. Well George, you just keep grabbing at that banana because one day it's going to fall from the tree. And then you'll know it all. All there is to need to know.

Uh, so yeah, let's end with maybe a random picture. Here we go:
She always does her best.'Tis why I admire her so much!
