So I went ahead and broke the rules! A lot of people say when you write a title, you should capitalize. Well, I did not. And look at me now. But speaking of breaking, I figured I had better share some news about recent events and goings-on. In no particular order of priority, here's the lowdown:
It's getting cold. Yup! That's the biggest news. Nights are cool and mornings require socks. How about in your part of the world? Yes, I'm talking to you. You, the one reading this. How's the weather down there? Up there? Over there? To the south? To the east? 'Round here, we're getting ready for winter. Well, we'll have to have Autumn first, but that's where it all starts. Lots of red leaves are out now. It's so awesome that I'm wonderstruck, and I think that's only the second time I've ever been. I will put up a pic or two when I get a good one. And when I get a camera.
Been using a phone camera all this time. Yup. It's true. All my vids and pics are from a phone camera. Is this thing smart or what? I do have a video camera, but it's pretty old-school. It makes a robot sound when I take out the mini DV from it. Speaking of robots, I did a little dance a few weeks ago. Happened to capture it on film. It may just be the most revolutionary movement since the...what's the name of that dance again? The ro...something. I don't know. Anyway, let's move on from here.
Signed up for a run. I don't run. I don't even like running. But it's got to be all wrapped up within 50 minutes. The BIG 5. Yup, I'm hittin' it hard with five kilos. Better start practicing. I mean, I've walked 30 km from my town up into the mountains and then to the lake up there. That took a lot of energy, too. Thankfully there were rest stops along the way and kind faces offering pork soup to those pour souls who didn't get their carb loading and their protein on the night before. I gobbled that up. That's old news, though. Got to focus on what's up and coming: the food valley marathon. That's what they call it. We can do like 5 k or the other official distance, like what real runners do. Still, even the weakest of the pack can get a free sporty bag at the end of it, provide that we go the distance in the designated time. I'm considering some super speed walking since my legs are long.
Other news: Alexis's cousin is coming to visit us for the 4th time. And since we've done very thorough touring all around here, the idea well has run dry. Where can we go this time? What can we do? We've seen as much nature and sweet spots as there are to see. Guess it's time to change the focus to food because where I am right now is a sweet tooth's paradise, not to mention a meat-lovers lava lagoon (whatever that's supposed to mean). Maybe I'll even load up on extra calories and pack on some weight. Thus my dilemma: start running for heart health or get back to weight training? Cardio is important, but so are pipes, right? More or less? If I don't pack some weight on, I run the risk of being blown away when a strong wind comes. Nobody wants to see that.
Final mention: got to figure the new direction for my YT videos. Teaching guitar? Singing originals? Collaboration with K.Zak? More nature stuff? I figure I've posted about as many rivers, streams, lakes, and waterfalls as people can take. Truth be told, I've got this obsession with the sound of flowing water. It calms my soul and frees me from all the stress that builds up. So I wanted to share the experience. Anyhoo, sort of also wondering if this obsession with YT is healthy or not. It's fascinating, and it may just grow into something, though I'm not sure what yet.
Well, ciao for now.
