The Key?

What do you do when life gets heavy? Things don't work out and people react or over-react or under-react, or they don't understand. Sometimes I just want to drop it all and go hide under a rock. But that's not life. That's not the way we were meant to operate. With every obstacle we go through, we grow, we learn, we get a little stronger...right? Isn't that how life is supposed to be? You face it, then you get over it. Or do you have to keep going through it over and over and over again? Or is it a little bit of both? But why do people have to get hurt along the way? People we never really meant for it to happen. I don't hold the keys, the answers, the pieces of the puzzle to make it all fit. We would all love to hold those answers in our hands. But we don't hold them. However, the only possible way of ever finding them is to keep moving. The person who is standing still has little chance of getting hurt, but also has little chance of getting anywhere, or anything, for that matter. So my answer is this: moving forward can be painful, but staying in one place will mean we only exist and then start to fade away. Like a tree that grows old and people climb up on it and the branches start to break off. We are not trees. We were made with feet to run free, to walk on, to explore, to discover, to fall and to get back up. And we cannot let those other people stand in our way. We cannot stand in our own way.
